NEW ELECTRIC RATES

Farmers Electric announced it is raising the cost of the power sold to the City of Meadville residents and city council voted at the March 21, 2023 meeting to increase the electric rates 4% to cover the increase in cost of the commodity. The new rates will be applied to the April/May usage, bills sent out at the end of May, 2023. 
​The new electric rates will be based on your electric usage.
Base electric charge $12.07                                       Charge for usage <=15 KW
Electric rate level 1 - $0.2366                                    Rate charge per KW between 16 and 100
Electric rate level 2 - $0.1564                                    Rate charge per KW between 101 and 300
Electric rate level 3 - $0.13301                                  Rate charge per KW between 301 and 600
Electric rate level 4 - $0.10784                                  Rate charge per KW between 601 and 1000
Electric rate level 5 - $0.09089                                  Rate charge per KW greater than 1000
