Approval of minutes: Approved.
Public Participation: Jim Bennett attended meeting. Would like to encourage pet owners to keep animals at home so they don’t have opportunity to run away.
Old Business:
● Sewer project update/review: Ongoing work by City & Cary.
● Street signs updates: Linn Co gets their signs at City Sign & Design in Brookfield. Square brackets for top of stop sign is $9 each. Tim to get count of signs needed & submit an estimate to Bobbi to forward to Council.
● Utilities disconnections/update from Bobbi.
● Municode update/updates: Sandy has scanned & uploaded all documents into portal. Waiting for their review.
● Meeting Minutes 2013-2014: 1st 6 months of 2013 were on old website. Still have access? Mayor may have missing ones.
New Business:
● Tim: Marvin Lambert has asked for City to cut a tree down, on city property. Issue tabled until Council can look at tree in question. Tim took a vacation day today, 5/11. Ruthie is taking extra key to dump to make 5 copies for Council access to open gate for public. Bobbi to put note on next utility bill that Council & Tim have keys to the dump area. Contact them if gate is locked. Regular hours are M-F 8am-5pm.
● Smokin Aces Building: Was potential to acquire the building for demolition from Mark. This is being tabled.
● Linn County Collector Contract review: Council reviewed contract. Debbie moved to accept terms. Ruthie 2nd. Motion passed unanimously. Mayor & clerk signed.
● Park equipment/School (50/50): Marc is going to chat w/ Nelson to inquire if there’s still a donation available for beautification. Justin will contact Holcer at the school to find out what the school is interested in spending.
● Utilities/Medical Clinic/Door hangers: Per council, order 500. Debbie made motion. Ruthie 2nd. Justin agreed. Medical clinic is exempted from penalties.
