A regular city council meeting will be held Monday, December 11, 2023 at 6:30 PM at city hall. All are encouraged to attend.
2024 Election
There will be two City of Meadville aldermen offices up for election on the April 2, 2024 general municipal election day, as well as the office of mayor. If you're interested in running for one of these positions, candidate filing opens on December 5, 2023 and closes on December 26, 2023. Candidates must be residents of the City of Meadville for at least one year prior to the election, be at least 21 years old, shall be a qualified voter in the city, shall reside in the city throughout his/her term of office, and be a citizen of the US. You are also required to be current on your state income taxes, personal property and real estate taxes.
Council members serve 2 year terms. The mayor term for this election is a 1 year term, to complete the remainder of an unexpired term of office left vacant due to a resignation.
