Meadville is governed by a Board of Alderman consisting of four representatives. These four members along with the Mayor make up the City Council. Two aldermen are elected every year for a two year term in the April municipal election.

Seeking Bids/Requests for Qualifications
The City of Meadville, Missouri is accepting sealed proposals for Solid Waste Services. Sealed proposals marked "Sealed Proposal - Solid Waste" must be received at City of Meadville, PO Box 152, Meadville, MO 64659 by 2:00 PM, Monday, July 13, 2026. The sealed bids will be opened publicly at 6:30 PM at City Hall during a regularly scheduled council meeting and there will be discussion regarding the bids. The council will select the best proposal for the City of Meadville and its citizens at the regular council meeting on Monday, July 13, 2026. The final contract to provide these services to be approved at the regular city council meeting on Monday, August 10, 2026 for services to begin on October 1, 2026. Bid specifications may be obtained by visiting the City of Meadville’s website at www.meadvillemo.com/government.
