Payment options & due dates: The City accepts credit cards as a form of payment. There will be a 3% convenience fee added to your bill amount to use this service. Cards accepted include Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. The City can also electronically debit your checking or savings account for a $.50 convenience fee (free for automatic monthly debits from accounts at Bank of Brookfield-Purdin). To sign up for automatic monthly payments using either your credit card or bank account or to get more information, please stop by Bobbi J. Meneely CPA LLC call 660.938.4033 during normal business hours.

Payments may be left in the two drop boxes at City Hall. These boxes are checked daily, Monday through Friday. If cash is left in the drop boxes, the City will not be held responsible. Payments are also accepted at the office of Bobbi J. Meneely CPA LLC or via mail at PO Box 152, Meadville, MO 64659. Payments must be RECEIVED (not postmarked or check dated) by the end of business on the 10th of the month in order to avoid a 10% late payment penalty. If payment is not received by noon on the 25th (or noon of the following business day if the 25th is on a weekend or holiday), your utilities will be turned off until payment plus $100 reconnect fee is received. The ordinance dictating this can be read here.
